  1. We have a 64 bit xp computer here and it works but takes 2 minutes and 24 seconds using agent
  2. Ah, I see the Edit button now. Apparently I missed it. Yes, I notice the agent method takes less bandwidth. Although on many computers, at least on a LAN, it seems agentless is faster than using the agent. I don't get that. With all the problems with agentless, it sounds like the agent method is the way to go, don't you think?
  3. Oh, I'm sure. I tested on a specific computer that I know what the default printer is. I even went into the printers list on Windows XP on that machine and it's a different default printer than what is shown in TNI.
  4. Can you edit messages on here? I couldn't find a way. Anyway, I forgot to say it's 1,000kb+ per sec. both ways, not just down or up. So that's 2,000kb+ total bandwidth and again, that's only around 5 PCs. I'd hate to see what scanning 20 or more at a time would do.
  5. I needed to see the default printer, but noticed it was wrong on one machine and doesn't show what it thinks is the default on others. Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Hi, I had been getting slow scanning on remote machines in other cities and decided to take a look at bandwidth usage of TNI. It was through the roof! No wonder it was slow. Not only that, but it bogs down the broadband connection something fierce. Any solution to this?
  7. We're sure. None whatsoever. Some of them are even Windows 2000 and no firewall comes with W2K, and no firewall is installed on them.
  8. I switched it to "use no agent" if it can and none of the PCs have the firewall enabled, but I still see it saying "Copying files" and "Starting service". If I tell it not to try another method, then I get all kinds of RPC errors, etc.
  9. We don't have any firewalls on for individual computers. Is there some other reason it's using the agent?
  10. Sorry for all the questions. I keep running into things. But I think I'm done for the night! :) Your site says your product is "agent free", but then I noticed "Copying files" & "Installing service" for a lot of PCs. On those PCs there are 2 files in the Windows dir called "tniaudit.exe" and "tniservice.exe", both files weighing in at about 1 megabyte a piece (2MB total). And every time I run scans, there are 2 of them running on each computer. Meaning I see 2 "tniaudit.exe" and 2 "tniservice.exe" running at the same time. Not that I mind agents, but it's not what's advertised.
  11. Doing a trial here and I'm not seeing the product key for 64-bit Vista. Is there a problem with it?
  12. Hi, my laptop isn't showing the serial number for either hard drive. They are SATA and I'm running Vista 64-bit.
