  1. Hello Zak, At this time : no. But a few days ago it did. On 7 oct. net use x: \\pc\c$ did work, and I remember testing admin$ OK as well. Maybe I've changed some settings since then while experimenting.... sorry. if \\pc\admin$ is not accessible, what would be the general cause for this ?
  2. Hi, Maybe the solution to your dupilcate reports due to changed MAC address is fairly easy to solve manually. I had credential problems remotely scanning a network over VPN, so I run TNI on the clients server, have him scan the network, and than copy the TNI storage files over VPN to my computer at the office to create reports etc. locally. So I've been experimenting with transporting the TNI storage files between computers. From what I see there is only a loose connection between the few .xxx files like .folder, .software etc. and the individual *.inv inventory files. It appears that TNI on startup reads all .inv files to rebuild its storage (correct me if I'm wrong). Also it appears that when you simply delete an .inv file outside of TNI, the asset (pc) will disappear from the storage and thus from the reports. This opens up the possibility for you to manually delete the duplicate .inv files jobs from the shared directory where your 10.000+ .inv files are stored, or using some homegrown batch, script or tool that sorts them alphabetically (pcname) and then chronologically, to only retain the most recent files. Hopefully the development team can shed some light on if this is a correct way to handle the problem and confirm that juggling with the programs file structure does not lead to database corruption etc. Patrick
  3. Running TNI on SBS2003 server. When remotely scanning a Win XP 64 bit pc, getting the error: Scan failed: SMB: Logon failure: The target account is incorrect Net view \\pc and net use x: \\pc\c$ work fine. Tested WMI using wbemtest.exe: OK Tried credentials current user, administrator, domain\administrator. Turned off Windows Firewall. I'd like to try RPC scanning but I don't see this option available in the TNI Options-Scanner window ? Thanks, Patrick
  4. I'm trialling TNI2 on an architects office network. Nice product, lots of useful features. All AutoCAD versions up til LT 2012 seem to get correctly detected, but the product keys/serial numbers are not. I'm still having to use other software to extract those. Any hope this feature will be integrated into TNI soon ? (e.g. RecoverKeys does extract those serials, but only when run locally or remotely from a SBS2008 server). Thanks, Patrick
