  1. Hi, I am trying to return some dll version info for the wuaueng.dll file stored in the Windows\System32\ directory. I can get the information from the Software Environment => loaded modules section in MS sysinfo but I want to do this for a large number of machines. Is there anyway to do this remotely?
  2. Sorry for the delay. Working on a number of things at the moment plus I cleared my data folder which inevitably cleared the issue. I still have the old files so I will try to send them to you.
  3. Recently, I have come across a situation where certain machines would replicate everytime the data storage folder is refreshed. Even after the machine is placed in a group, a duplicate entry within its original grouping (domain name) would appear. Evertime after that when the data storage folder is refreshed, another entry would appear so that if I refreshed 4 times, there would be four different entries for the same machine. Any Ideas? I tried restoring an old groups.dat file but to no avail.
  4. Currently I am trying to create a script that will open the application and run the scan. This script can then be scheduled using the built in scheduler. Not sure if I am barking up the wrong tree though. Does the TNI executable work with any switches (/s, etc.)?
  5. OK. I think I figured out where I went wrong. It seems that one of our locations sent their groups.dat and software.dat files in the zip file with the XML files. I the unzipped the file into the Data folder, unwittingly overwriting my own groups.dat file and in the process, losing all my group information. To avoid this happening in the future I have unchecked the "overwrite files" option in winzip.
  6. Sorry for the delay in replying. Let me give you some background. We have more than 20 locations. We have the technical support officer at each location perform scans with TNI and the files are sent to me to report on. I have TNI installed on a workstation here so I transfer the files to this one data folder. While I was doing this process, I was adding any new machines to their respective groups which I had already created for each location. This was done location by location with a data folder refresh done after adding the files for each location. Suddenly after adding a location, the data refresh took an extended amount of time and came back saying I had 1800+ new files (which is basically all of the machines). When I double checked, all the groups were lost. I tried restoring a backup of the groups.dat file but to no avail. I am presently in the process of rebuilding the groups manually. Real fun :(
  7. Data is stored on a local drive and thank you for your response. Also, I was transferring new xml files into the data folder and the groups were lost. I tried to restore a backup of the groups.dat file but this did not help. Any ideas?
  8. Hi all, The problem has been resolved. I removed the software.dat file and allowed the software to rebuild it. I am now able to run the reports without an issue.
  9. Hi, We are unable to run the any of the software reports. The program is either hanging or in the case of the software and licenses report, we are getting an error with the XML file. The error is as follows: "Invalid XML Element: Erroneous end of tag, expecting </Install_count> but </> found." Need help!!!
  10. Just to confirm that McAfee is no longer flagging TNI as a threat.
  11. Thanks for your response. I did plan to add this to the list of exclusions. I would prefer if McAfee addresses it soon though.
  12. Hi, Just to let you know that the TNI.exe file is being reported a Backdoor.CEP trojan by our Enterprise antivirus software.
